Halosarcina pallida
Halosarcina pallida gen. nov., sp. nov. Cocci, non motile, non-flagellated, and divide along two axes resulting in the formation of sarcina-like clusters. This is the first described member of the Halobacteriales that exhibit such division pattern

Haladaptatus paucihalophilus

Haladaptatus paucihalophilus gen. nov., sp. nov.The first isolate in a novel genus within the Halobacteriales. It grows at a wide range of salt concentrations, 5-30% (w/v), and could remain viable in distilled water after prolonged incubation.

Planctomycetes

Planctomycetes sp strain Zi62. Planctomycetes sp. strain Zi62 can grow on elemental sulfur, a process that could explain its presence in this strict anaerobic sulfur rich habitats. Strain Zi62 contains crateriform-like structures that is present only in one pole of the cell. Strain Zi62 (as well as other Planctomycetes) are unique among prokaryotes in having an intracellular membrane (ICM), dividing the cell into a pirellulosome and a paryphoplasm, as well as having a dense nucleoid structure that covers 20-30% of the pirellulosome.
